Another SketchCard for $ale--[link]

I actually have another Teela Sketch that will be going up next time I sell some cards, this one was the 2nd I did which is why it's named as 02.

As a kid I always thought there was some connection between Teela and Evil Lynn since their outfits were so similar. Sister's maybe, somehow a yin/yang disfunctional family perhaps? Hmm well I can't recall now if there was any connection. The professional critic in me says that the designers were just lazy though now, lol!

As to the piece, I love all your work, and your sketch cards are very nice. I just wish I had some money. I'd be snappin' these up real fast.

i know but it still seems like they seriously took sideswipe and said "ahh fuck it lets just take sunstreaker and paint him red and call them brothers" :P

You may be thinking Prowl and Bluestreak. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe transformed completely differently.

Yup, just designer laziness... or more accurately, designer efficiency. The MOTU toyline reused parts as much as possible, so including Teela -- who has a very different mold from the male figures, of course -- meant that it only made economic sense to try and use it for at least one other character.

The packaging labeled them as a "Warrior Goddess" and an "Evil Warrior Goddess", so it seems that before the storylines were set in place by the cartoons and comics, they were intended to be counterparts as a justification for the resemblance.

At any rate, you've done some very nice sketch cards in this batch; very true to the characters while maintaining a unique style.

Speaking of Looney Tunes behind-the-back voids, where does she put that pistol? ;)
