Awhile back there was buzz that Apple was going to get into the console race. I thought that would be too cool. So I decided to do a doodle of what I thought they might do for the look of there would be addition to the next gen war.

I more or less designed it after the mini mac, but decided to make it charcoal black/grey to help denote it from apples other products. I think it's probably too small, but you never know with how their compressing the horsepower of machines nowadays.

The name is a play on the both the apple "i-(blank)" and Ifrit demigod, which is suppose to be a strong and intelligent creature of fire. The orange hue on the console is to continue the firey motive in the mix (though I thought it could be a mood bar, changing color depending on whats going on in the game, or even a lcd display of some kind, maybe allowing DVD playback function to be navigated via a virtual keypad, in iphone like fashion).

I would love to see them enter the fray. I like my Xbox *when it's not broken or freezing*, but I would also love to see the commercials that Apple would come up with to punch a few hole in the 360 like they do with the mac vs PC ads. haha

And just to make things absolutely clear, this was just a doodle gone out of control, it's NOT A OFFICIAL PRODUCT DESIGN OF APPLE at all. It's fake, done just for fun, and just an element of speculation. I don't want apple breaking down my door, killing me in my sleep and wiping my existence off the face of the pla.....

It looks cool, and I always like to see what Apple can bring something related to game consoles.
